The primary mission of Forgotten Angels is to maintain a
“no-kill” animal shelter. To aid in the rescue and
rehabilitation of abused and abandoned animals. To help
stop the over population of animals by implementing
spay/neuter programs. To provide humane care and
treatment for all animals in need of protection in the area
served by us. To seek to return lost animals to their owners,
to seek suitable homes for animals without owners. To aid
in the rehabilitation of injured wildlife and return them to the
wild when possible.

My wife Cathy, who works at Foxwoods Casino in Gaming Administration has been volunteering
for animal shelters for several years. After assisting her for a couple of years and seeing that
most shelters are at /or over capacity, we talked and decided to build our own shelter.
The project started small and eventually grew into a two story building to house up to 40 cats and
2 dogs at a time. I have been working on this project for two years and my wife Cathy has
inherited my regular chores while I continue to build. I personally think I got the better deal,
because cleaning up after me is a full time job in itself. Now adding regular yard chores, and
keeping up with the extensive gardens that I have created on top of her household chores and a
full time job keeps her day never ending.
We were hoping to complete this project last year, but due to the limited help we have received, it
is taking much longer than expected. Frank Money, a volunteer from Second Chance Sanctuary
and now a good friend, has been driving down nearly every weekend from Foster Rhode Island to
assist me in finishing. I also received a lot of help from Bill Trantalis, owner of Jet Refrigeration,
He installed the heating and central air system at no charge. It is people like these that will make
this shelter a success.
My wife and I have re-mortgaged our home to build this shelter and are hoping the public will do
its part and help us with the funds we need to keep it running. If you would like to help, please go
to our help page where you can click on the PAYPAL button to make a donation, or mail your
donation to the address at the top of this page. We may have built the shelter, but you are the
ones who will keep it running with your support. Every dollar helps so please donate if you can.
